Super high-strength sulphoaluminate cement is an important component of dry mix mortar products. Since its launch into the market, it has been highly favored by professionals in the dry mix mortar industry due to its unique advantages such as early strength, fast hardening, corrosion resistance, slight expansion, and frost resistance.
Super high-strength sulphoaluminate cement (HCSA) is a high-performance cement based on high-strength sulphoaluminate cement. By improving the quality of raw materials, strictly controlling the production process, and not adding any admixtures, this cement has excellent properties such as early setting, fast hardening, slight expansion, and is mainly composed of 3CaO·3Al2O3·CaSO4 and 2CaO·SiO2. The main hydration product reflected is ettringite (3CaO·Al2O3·3CaSO4·32H2O), which not only enhances the compatibility with Portland cement, but also improves the overall physical properties. Compared with aluminous cement, sulphoaluminate cement has stable strength development, no shrinkage in the later period, and higher cost-effectiveness, making it more suitable for dry mix mortar products.
The specific surface area is divided into two categories: 360㎡/kg to 430㎡/kg (the standard requires more than 360㎡/kg); 450㎡/kg to 500㎡/kg (the standard requires more than 450㎡/kg). Setting times: initial setting time is less than 10 minutes, and final setting time is less than 350 minutes.
Common characteristics of sulphoaluminate cement:
Short setting time, high early strength, and fast hardening. Sulphoaluminate cement has the characteristics of early setting and fast hardening. The main mineral components are C4A3S and C2S, and the special mineral composition endows the material with special properties.
High density and excellent corrosion resistance. Since the mineral components do not contain 3CaO·Al2O3 (C3A), the Ca (OH) 2 content in cement is extremely low, which enables it to resist the erosion of soft water and sulphates. The main hydration product is a dense ettringite (3CaO·Al2O3·3CaSO4·32H2O), which greatly reduces the void ratio of cement paste, and improves the impermeability and corrosion resistance.
Good frost resistance. After adding a special antifreeze agent, it can be used for concrete construction at -30℃ in winter.
Low liquid phase pH, no alkali aggregate reaction occurs, and the anti-alkali-carbonate reaction effect is particularly excellent.
Stable strength development and no shrinkage in the later period. Sulphoaluminate cement introduces gypsum in the clinker burning process, which plays a role in guiding compound and stabilizing minerals, improves the activity of clinker, and ensures good crystal type transformation. It is fundamentally different from high-alumina cement which introduces gypsum later to form ettringite.
